Here are several examples of what you will see in the book. Please excuse the poor scans, the book pages are much better than these previews. For every technique that is discussed in the book, I also discuss how to notate that technique and I will explain why we use each notation. There are exercises included in the book that use all of these techniques so that you can see how we put all of these different techniques together and if you order the Book/DVD combo then you will have the opportunity to watch and hear these exercises being performed.

This picture is one of the pages in the book where I talk about Chokes. The page after this one in the book covers notation for the Choke. This picture is of a page in the book that covers Slams and also explains the notation used for the Slam and why we use that specific notation.

This next page is one of my favorite exercises that I use. This exercise incorporates the techniques that have been explained up to that specific point in the book. You will also see this exercise in our cymbal ensemble at the end of the DVD.
